(1) (1818) German physician Karl von Vierordt is born. He is known for developing techniques and tools for the monitoring of blood circulation.

(2) (1915) Russian-Jewish neuroscientist Joseph Ransohoff is born. He is known pioneering the use of medical imaging in the diagnosis and treatment of brain tumors.

(3) (1921) Polish gynecologist and sexologist Michalina Wisłocka is born. She was the co-founder of the Society of Sensible Maternity, where she worked on infertility treatment and birth control.
