(1) (1911) English neurologist John Hughlings Jackson is born. His research focused mainly on epilepsy, specifically seizures and aphasia.
(2) (1927) Scottish psychiatrist Ronald David Laing is born. His research focused on the experience of psychosis and its treatments.

(3) (1948) British climatologist and climate modeller John Mitchell is born. He is the head of the Hadley Centre for Climate Prediction and Research’s Climate Change group. He is also the most cited scientist for global warming.
