(1877) German psychoanalyst Karl Abraham is born. One of Freud’s best students, Abraham focused his research on the influence of infant psychosexuality on the development of mental disorders.

(1902) French physicist Alfred Kastler is born. He work on interactions between atoms and light which later led to the completion of the theory of lasers.

(1955) British geneticist Stephen D. M. Brown is born. His research primarily focuses on using mice models to understand diseases and medical complications, like deafness.
