Cognitive behavioral therapy

(1) (1896) Swiss clinical psychologist Jean Piaget is born. He is remembered for his work in child development and created Piaget’s theory of cognitive development, a theory for how human intelligence is developed.
(2) (1949) American psychologist Edward Thorndike passes away. His research focused on comparative psychology and the process of learning.
(3) (1867)  British suffragette and nurse Evelina Haverfield is born. Along with serving as a nurse in WW1 and being involved in women’s suffrage organisations, she also helped to build a children’s health centre in Serbia.
