The Prediabetes Rumour

Rumour: Having prediabetes does not put you at risk of cardiovascular disease, as diabetes does

Truth: This is false.

After following participants for an average of 9.5 years, researchers have determined that individuals with prediabetes have an increased risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality – a risk already established in those with diabetes.
